At AMK Dental Clinic we are dedicated to ensuring your child’s dental health for life

At our Breakfast Point dental clinic, we understand that childhood is the most important and crucial stage for forging optimal oral health habits for life.

Bringing your children to see a dentist early allows us to examine and assess their dental condition and keep track of their development. By keeping a routine check-up with us every six months, we are able to diagnose or foresee any issues with your child’s teeth in regards to form, function, structure, strength and alignment.

We make being at the dentist fun!

At AMK Dental Clinic we understand that visiting the dentist can be daunting or intimidating, which is why we strive to make your child’s visit as easy and stress-free as possible. We strongly believe that developing a good relationship with children at an early age can help them to maintain optimal oral health for life.

We make learning about teeth fun, and answer any and all questions you child asks to ensure they understand the process and what is required to keep a healthy mouth.

Why are my child’s primary teeth so important?

We make learning about teeth fun, and answer any and all questions you child asks to ensure they understand the process and what is required to keep a healthy mouth. Your child’s primary teeth (also known as ‘milk teeth’) are vital to helping your child maintain good dental health and ensure their dental development. Even though the teeth do fall out eventually, they are extremely important:

- Act as placeholders for your child’s adult teeth
- Enable your child to form words and therefore help with language development
- Enable your child to eat solid foods which heightens their overall health

Be sure to bring your child in for a dental assessment by age 2 or when their very first tooth emerges. This enables our friendly dentists to track your child’s dental development and identify any key issues early before they become more severe – potentially saving you time and money later in life.
